Central Bank of India IPO Subscription, Allotment and Listing
July 28, 2007
The Central Bank of India IPO was subscribed by 62 times. Retail Investor category got subscribed 16 times and the Qualified Institutional Bidder category got subscribed by over 89 times. Central Bank IPO subscription figures suggest that the Central Bank of India stock will list at a premium to the IPO issue price. Retail investor category has not been heavily oversubscribed compared to the QIB category and non institutional investor category. Hence those who applied under the retail investor category will get allotment more easily than those who applied in the other categories. Since the central bank of india is a fundamentally strong bank, investors should avoid selling the stock on the listing date and instead hold it for the long term.

Hi,
I’m sure Central Bank will list between 145-155 INR.
this is an official news from a source of Central Bank, and do not sell the shares immediately.hold it for a min of 6 months then you can see a good returns.

Central Bank’s IPO Won’t be listed at a very high Premium due to the recent CRR hike and as another CRR hike is expected before Dec 2007. But a Premium of 10 -35 Rs can be expected. You have to consider the fact that Indian Economy is just not dependent on the local market conditions but on a global level. Banking sector will not post a tremendous result (in terms of net profit) in Financial Year April 07 - March 08 as compared to 06-07.

Hi
Central Bank is likely to be listed at 250-260 range and most likely to cross 400 mark in the first day. With Investment deposit ratio of 0.34 and credit deposit ratio of 0.63, the bank has a similar investment partern as SBI. It’s employee cost/operating 68% is lower than SBI’s 77%. With Book value of Rs. 77 and EPS Rs 15 the CBI looks to be a good buy on listing.
I applied for 960 shares and alloted only 120 shares. Hope to cash in on gain on listing.
All the best guys.

Hi,
The price of 400 etc seems hieght of optimism. Its realistic when i say a listin at aroun 150 and a peak of about 180 on the first day. Beyond which,
it really doesnt make more sense.
I applied for 120, and got 60.
Al the best, anyways.
